Student Environmental Service Learning Projects

Classes, youth groups, and students who complete environmental projects and complete a Green Schools portfolio will be honored as a Student Environmentalist at the Earth Day Festival by Art From Scrap's Green Schools Program. The goal of the Student Environmentalist Awards is not only to honor youth for their contributions but also to provide an inspiring and motivational example for others to follow.

About the projects:
» Environmental projects can be conducted as part of a science fair project, to fulfill community service hours, or as part of a scout, youth group, or club activity.
» Projects should focus on the environment and take a minimum of two hours to complete per person.
» If the project is partially completed or on-going, document the work done to date and complete as much of the portfolio as possible.
» Only one portfolio need be filled out per project.
» For a list of potential projects see our Individual Enviromental Project Ideas.
