The Steelhead Run is a 5K fun run for the entire family created to promote awareness of local watersheds and the federally endangered Southern California Steelhead Trout. Steelhead are anadromous fish, meaning they migrate to salt water to mature and then return to freshwater streams and creeks to spawn. The Steelhead Run follows our local coastline, crossing creeks, and giving runners the opportunity to experience a steelhead's quest for a spawing creek. All proceeds from the run are used to further watershed restoration and fish passage improvement projects.
