A class from Monte Vista School participating in the "Watershed Watchers" program, using an interactive watershed model (Enviroscape) to demonstrate the sources of pollution to our creeks and ocean. The students add pollutants to the model, make it "rain", and watch as the pollution travels to the storm drains and to the ocean. They then discuss ways to prevent this pollution from occurring.

Geologist Susan Bartz leads a free monthly program on Arroyo Burro Beach in search of fossils, fault lines, and folds.

CEC's Amy Findlay and Karen Feeney imprint leaves and other items into the ramp. The ramp is designed to simulate a walk up a healthy watershed.

The Watershed Resource Center is surrounded by Arroyo Burro Beach County Park.

Students learn about erosion of our watersheds while participating in the "Weathering the Watersheds" program. They are spraying water on a model landform and watching how valleys and ridges are formed by rain, creating erosion.
