2007 Steelhead Festival

The 2007 Steelhead Festival was held on Sunday, May 20th, at Santa Barbara's Stearns Wharf. The day began with a 5K run along the waterfront, served as the public unveiling party for the exquisite 2007 steelhead sculptures, and generally filled the wharf with activity from 10-3 around the Ty Warner Sea Center. Educational booths lined part of the wharf with interactive watershed models from Agua Pura and hands-on water tesing with Santa Barbara ChannelKeepers. Paint Jam Parties was also there with an interactive painting activity which proved to be a lot of fun for all ages.

2006 Steelhead Festival

Thank you to everyone involved in the 2006 Steelhead Festival! It was a huge success, thanks to all our volunteers and particpants. This all-day festival included informational booths, activities for kids and adults, and live music! Children’s activities included Native American storytelling, steelhead arts and crafts, and watershed models. Educational activities for adults included presentations by local fly fishermen on catch and release techniques as well as by local agencies on steelhead habitat improvement projects.
